Joni came to visit!!! Yay! It was so fun to have here her. JD's Grandma Shively passed away a couple of weeks ago so JD flew home for the funeral. Chase was headed to France for a business conference, so Joni came here! She flew in late Saturday into San Antonio.
Sunday was catching up on sleep and went for a walk on Sunset Lake Trail and looked for seashells.
Monday we took the ferry out to Port Aransas and saw dolphins and played at the beach.
Clark didn't really love the beach, but he slept other times we went so that worked out.
Tuesday we went to the Aquarium and played in the splash pad, my pictures are a bit out of order :)
Wednesday we drove out to Rockport and went to the Estuary. That evening we went to Bayside Park and climbed the sand dunes.
Thursday we went to story time and later to the mall.
Friday we stayed home and relaxed. JD stayed with the kiddos after we put them to bed that night so Joni and I could go have a girls night, we did some shopping and got some frozen yogurt. It was fun and relaxing. :)
Saturday we drove out to Padre Island and met up with our friends the Farley's, law school buddies from Waco. Chase flew in to Corpus that night so Joni and I drove out to get him.
Sunday we got all ready and were on time which is pretty awesome for 7 people, and went to church to find out that the thunderstorm the night before had knocked out the power, so they cancelled church. We came back home and had our own little meetings and then had naps and went for a walk at Sunset Lake park again. Also got some gaming time in with actual board games so that was fun!
Monday we went to see the Lexington in the morning. After lunch we drove out to Port A and played at the beach and saw some dolphins by the jetty. We buried JD and Cami in the sand and enjoyed the waves and wind. Cami loves the water! She stays out there for hours and splashes and plays with her boogie board and rides the waves. Alvin really enjoyed the beach and was pretty brave and fearess, Clark was not so much a fan. I am getting better at playing in the waves and learning how to use the boogie board and enjoy the water more. It is such a great family activity and helps us unplug and reconnect!
Today I drove the Taylors' to San Antonio to fly home, so that was a sad day. We loved having them here and had so much fun.

Saturday on Padre Island
This one is way out of order, JD and I celebrated out 7th Anniversary!!! We celebrated early and it is a good thing since JD was in Idaho on our actual anniversary, but he did have a good excuse...going to a funeral and all :)

Yep construction vehicles at the aquarium are part of the attraction.
