Fourth and Fifth!

We had a fun fourth of July. We started out with a ward breakfast which was bright and early, but yummy! After we headed to a parade..which really was not that great, but had inflatables after, which Cami loved!
Then we came home and had a couple families over for a bbq and the kids had a water fight with balloons and squirters, and we got in it too and got drenched. Especially JD, whom the little girls ganged up on.
We played a game while the kiddos played and then after dinner we went to North Beach to see the fireworks. It was an ok spot to watch, but most importantly we didn't get stuck in traffic coming home so that was nice.
Last week Cami finished swim lessons and we enjoyed a free Ladies day at Schlitterbahns. It is a water park over on Padre Island and is it still being built, but it was worth the drive since it was free and we had a great time.
Saturday was Cami's Birthday!!! I can't believe my little girl is 5. She is getting so big! She wanted pancakes for breakfast and then opened presents and FaceTime with grandparents. Cami choose Pizza Hut for her lunch and then we went home and got ready for the beach. We headed out to the beach and enjoyed the sunshine and waves. Some of our friends met us there and we played and made a bonfire and had hot dogs and marshmallows and cake. It was a feat to get the candle lit for 3 seconds for Cami to blow it out! All in all Cami had a good day I think and was very happy.
I don't know if you can tell, but we made a sand sculpture cake and Cami is blowing out the "candles"

Fourth of July water fight with friends!

Three girls in a tub!

My yoga buddy! She is awesome!
Friday night last week, the VanMoos invited us to a Hooks Baseball game. It was fun even though we didn't stay till the end since it was late and we didn't want to get Cami to bed super late since Saturday was her birthday. Cami loved it though and had fun with her foam finger they got for her. So nice!

Cami's cake before the gummies, I wanted to make sure I had a picture before the beach in case it didn't make it. Cami and I had fun making it together.
Cami opening presents. This girl kills me with her enthusiasm and expression! She gets so excited about things and it makes me happy!
